Happy St David's Day or Dydd Gŵyl Dewi Hapus

March is when I feel we are on the last page of winter and looking forward to the next chapter of Spring. The very first day of March also happens to be St David’s Day when our little country gets to celebrate some of its long heritage. Yummy Welsh cakes and bara brith as well as people wearing daffodils and leeks (mostly not real ones these days).

This year it also coincides with Shrove Tuesday or pancake day so an excellent day all round for enjoying food and company but perhaps not for the waistline.
